Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. In addition to BJJ training She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. In the age of 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd kept building on her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was superior to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were affected. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and won via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her fight in the third round with a TKO (elbows as well as punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen defeated Hoy and defeated her in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO during the second round. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks to win her first major fight. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight which ended her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, lost to Randamie. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
